Obituary of Larry Walker

Larry Edwin Walker, 81, of Frostproof, FL, passed away on April 20, 2026. A native of Eureka, SD, he served in the United States Army following high school and later attended Northern State College in Aberdeen, SD. In the late 1970s, he traded the South Dakota winters for the warmth of the South, settling in Central Florida. He spent the majority of his adult life as a well-known resident of Frostproof. An entrepreneur at heart, he owned and operated several businesses in the area. He will be remembered most for his vibrant, outgoing personality. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Elsie Walker, and his brother, Harvey Walker. He is survived by his brothers, Dale and Dennis Walker; his four daughters, Terri Hickey, Carrie Walker, Annetra Shook and Melissa Stokes and his beloved grandchildren, Alex, Nathan, Michael, Mataya, Emily, Madison, Reid and Natalie. The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
